Firefighters have saved the life of a dog that was pulled unconscious from a house fire by giving her CPR and treated her for 30 minutes. Brave fire crew have saved Nala, a blue heeler.
They also rescued three other dogs, a cat and some guinea pigs from the blaze in Highland Park, on Queensland’s Gold Coast. They made the dog to feel free as it was caught with a fire hydrant.
It was held with a towel over her for shade as the firefighters placed an oxygen mask over her face. After regaining consciousness, Nala was taken to a veterinary hospital. She was treated for smoke inhalation and is now in a stable condition.
No one was injured in the blaze, which caused the roof of the home to cave in and also damaged neighboring properties on Wednesday morning. But Elizabeth Vunitabua, a friend of the family that own the property, said she feared that two cats may have died in the fire.
