About 9 billion Euros were spent for the Summer Olympics in 2004. The once emblematic venue now stands barren. Greece is going through economic depression now. Question arises if spending billions of Euros was worth it after all?
CNN reports that some parts of the venue is now utilised as the station for refugees.
Beijing – Summer Olympics 2008
We all remember the spectacular Bird’s Nest.

In the middle of the derelict heaven there stands a venue that withstood the test of time. The Los Angeles Coliseum was the first to be used twice. There is a silver lining now. It was used in 1932 and later in 1984.
