Did you find yourself closing your eyes every time you kissed?
You might have observed how people lean forward, close their eyes and bring their lips together. Have you ever wondered why? Science finally has an answer to this.
Pathologists Polly Dalton and Sandra Murphy say “the brain cannot fully appreciate the physical when distracted with the visual.”
This means that the brain cannot concentrate on both kissing and the environment. Hence this method is used by our brain automatically so that we concentrate on getting intimate (you wouldn’t want to get distracted while kissing someone, right?).
Psychologists assume that the act of smooching paves way to the sexual activity. The brain doesn’t want you to lose the interest and get deprived by observing the surroundings. Kiss with eyes shut increases the intimacy.
This happens only when you kiss your beloved. We don’t close our eyes when we kiss our mom (Now You know why!).
