The endorsement of the two child policy in China has been a blessing to the related markets. According to the media reports on Friday, it’s already being termed as “second-child economy”.
The People’s Daily announced that more people were trying to improve their fertility and chances of conceiving. According to Guangzhou Daily, there has been an outstanding progress in sales of pharmaceuticals.
The products that have seen most favour and highest -of almost up to 90 percent- increase in sale are prenatal supplements like folic acid and vitamins.
Powered by such tremendous appeal to products, many industries have seen surplus raise in sales. Child Photo Studio businesses are also expanding. Shopping and entertainment centres are targeting mother and child business and seriously promoting goods and services.
Obstetrics departments at hospitals are seeing busy days in the early future. The demand for antenatal care is also expected to increase. Already it is cited that women sometimes have to wait in a queue for hours to see an obstetrician.
China officially approved its two child policy from 27th December 2015. It officials expect the second child births to spike between 2017 and 2019.
