Three state governments along with All India Football Federation(AIFF) has announced cash prize which collects up to 10.05 crore for silver medallist in Rio Games PV Sindhu on Saturday.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao congratulated P.V. Sindhu at his camp office and handed over the Rs 5 Crore cheque. She won Silver Medal in women’s singles badminton in Rio Olympics 2016. The Shuttler star was accompanied by her parents P V Ramana and P Vijaya .
The Delhi government announced Rs 2 crore cash reward to Olympics silver medallist PV Sindhu and Rs 1 crore to bronze medallist Sakshi Malik. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia visited the parents of Sakshi in Haryana’s Rohtak in the morning and announced the award for both Olympians.
He also offered a promotion for Sakshi’s father, Sukhbir Malik, who works as a bus conductor in Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC).
KCR also congratulated Sindhu’s coach Pullela Gopichand and presented Rs 1 Crore to him, Rs 25 Lakh to Shuttler K Srikantha, Rs 25 Lakh Cash award to her physiotherapist C Kiran.
